More water exchange between The Netherlands and Taiwan
Last July Wetskills was organized in Taiwan for the first time. At the end of the event, Wetskills Foundation (The Hague) and Dutch Design Post (Tainan) signed a MoU for more cooperation in 'water' for students and Young Professionals. The partners see opportunities for assignments (for internships) in Taiwan. Taiwan has many interesting water challenges: a densely populated island with high mountains and extreme rain.
As result of the Wetskills programme the teams came up with some interesting concepts, which can have follow up (as part of WetsNext), like opportunities for floating gardens and buildings. These are themes that have been researched by the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan, but Dutch water related universities as well.
