Wetskills-Eswatini 2026 – Blog 4 –
Today’s action plan discussions were both challenging and inspiring. As participants, we took part in one-on-one feedback sessions focused on refining our cases. The session pushed us to critically evaluate whether we truly understand the core problems of our cases, not just the technical perspective but also from a governance and implementation standpoint. The feedback sessions helped us recognize that solving water challenges is not only about hydrology or legislation, but about institutional coordination, sequencing of approvals and realistic implementation within existing systems.
To add more, what stood out most was the importance of clarity. We were encouraged to clearly define the problem before proposing solutions, identify practical short-term wins and remain cost-conscious and context-specific. The mentors challenged us to think beyond theory, and design a solution that is possible, feasible and scalable. The discussions also strengthened our teamwork because each member has a role to play.
Consequently, today reminded us that, innovation in the water sector requires collaboration, humility and the courage to rethink systems, not just projects. We move forward more focused, aligned and motivated.
