Wetskills-Spain 2026 – Blog 3 –

Today was focused on understanding how we work as a team and how to turn our case into a clear action plan. We started the morning by meeting the case owners and discussing the main challenges connected to our topic. This helped us better understand what is expected from us and which areas still need more research.

Later, we had a session on the Plan of Action and project management. One interesting part was a Team-role test, where we could see what kind of person each of us tends to be in group work. It was useful to compare our strengths and weaknesses and think about how we can divide tasks more effectively during the project.

After that, we worked in our case groups and started developing our action plan together with our case owners. We discussed the main research directions, possible solutions, deadlines and the next steps for the coming days.

The day ended with the BrainHurricane session, organised as a kind of speed dating with external experts. We had short conversations with specialists from different backgrounds, including Aigües de Barcelona, UPC, Act4Water and Circular Carbon. It was a very useful way to quickly test our ideas, hear different perspectives and collect new questions that can help us improve our case.
