Sipho Mosai strengthened the importance of bringing the new generations to the sector. Rand Water, the largest bulk water utility in Africa and one of the largest in the world, and Wetskills already cooperated in the past and he hopes to have a strengthened cooperation with this MoU.

This is a great moment for Wetskills’ mentioned Johan Oost in his contribution. ‘Rand Water and Wetskills already cooperated various times in South Africa and The Netherlands and this MoU is in line with our strategy to create more Wetskills event in South Africa and the region, but also having more participants to our events worldwide. With this Wetskills aims to strengthen its Wetskills Community in this region and with them create more follow-up.

Both partners thanked the Consul General for hosting this MoU signing event and the partners for witnessing this event

Rand Water and Wetskills Foundation already work together for 8-9 years. After an incoming mission of Young Professionals from Rand Water to The Netherlands, Rand Water Academy and Wetskills joined forces to initiate and organise the second Wetskills event in South Africa. In May 2014, this Wetskills event happened with participants from Rand Water Academy and a case from Rand Water. The finals of that Wetskills event was during a dedicated workshop at the WISA Conference 2014 in Nelspruit. The Awarding Ceremony took place during the Gala dinner, where approx. 2500 watched the compilation movie (see link) and witnessed the announcement of the winning team.
