Eat, sleep, pitch, poster, repeat

The past two days revolved around one clear theme: pitching and poster-making. On Tuesday, the groups practiced their pitches for the first time in front of all participants. Both the main and back-up pitchers put their nerves to the test. Crumpled notes made their debut, and water bottles doubled as microphones. The audience kept a close eye on the non‑pitchers too: we learned quickly that a pitch is truly a team effort.

Next up was the first in‑depth feedback session on our posters. They were examined under a microscope; no misalignment or inconsistent font size went unnoticed. For some of us (read: most), the list of improvements was long. But after regrouping, rewriting and restyling, we returned with renewed confidence. A few hours later, during the follow‑up meeting with the supervisors, many of us could finally breathe again: the posters really are almost ready!

Wednesday was all about finishing touches: finalizing the poster, perfecting the pitch, and polishing the paper. You could feel the energy rising, as everyone got more and more confident. Who would’ve thought the grand finale would sneak up on us this fast? We wish every team the very best of luck tomorrow, and above all, enjoy it as much as you can!
