Wetskills-Eswatini 2026 – Blog 1 –
All participants were travelling from different locations to meet at Ezulwini-The gables. The arrivals filled the air with excitement; some had their breaths held and only sighed relief when they met fellow colleagues. Meetings and greetings became the order of the moment.
After the introductions we went straight to the first challenge. Participants were divided into 3 groups to play Crazy 88, an interesting game where we had to learn about each other and the environment. The activities included taking selfies with birds, kissing a stranger, doing a flashmob at a square, getting 10 strangers to hug a tree.
After the challenge, we hit the road to our place of lodging, a 100+ kilometers to the east in Mananga country lodge. Upon arrival, nature greeted us, we had a sunset braai, and we did another introduction about where we come from, what did we study and our expectations from the Wetskills program.
Amazing sight of Warthogs and monkeys running wild among antelopes were the background of a first night of many.
