Weathering the Storm of Ideation at INSAT Tunis it has certainly been a charged atmosphere today at INSAT Tunis, and the fabulous events of Wetskills Tunisia from previous years made it possible: Brain Hurricane!

Throughout the day, we had a chance to meet with extraordinary amounts of experts, as part of a whirling dance of speed meetings. Each expert visited our teams in rotation, and we had sufficient time to pitch our idea, ask questions, and get feedback in just a few
minutes with each expert. Just as we had in previous pitches, in front of experts with potential, we needed to make, and trust, decisions in-the-moment.

What became grounded throughout the day was the testing of our clarity, creativity, and teamwork, all at a frenzied pace, while experts rotated through the space. In the room, the buzz was palpable, as each team was taking notes, debating their ideas, and hoping to improve the pitch. It is truly amazing how other perspectives help pull back the label of normalcy, and let in new ways to think about our case study. Some of the ideas challenged what we knew to be correct, some simply validated we were reasonable in our thinking, still most moved us forward to become more daring in our thinking.

We are looking forward to tomorrow. Time is ticking away and now we need to go from Brainstorming, to constructing our prototype and presenting our solution at the conclusion of the challenge. All the feedback, recommendations, suggestions, comments, input, etc, will help us to place our presentation on the next level. Working at INSAT Tunis brings an additional level of inspiration. The community, with its modern facilities and collaborative spaces, enables us to connect, share ideas, and create together. It is the combination of
expert technical input, peer discussion, and energetic location that makes for an excellent backdrop for the generative work of the Brain Hurricane.

Our clear challenge moving forward is to now turn this brainstorm of ideas into practical solutions that will create impact. Today’s Brain Hurricane has left us with a toolkit and momentum to take action against this challenge. While we feel the clock ticking, we are very confident that as a team, we will create solutions that will make a difference.
