Wetskills-Oman 2025 – Blog 3 –
The third day of Wetskills in Salalah was both challenging and inspiring. As a diverse group from different cultures, we were still trying to shape a strong idea to solve our case problem. The day was full of brainstorming, discussions with experts, and moments of realization that many concepts were either not feasible or already existed. Yet, by the end, we managed to figure out a primary creative idea bringing together technologies that harvest atmospheric water. It was a small but exciting breakthrough.
Of course, staying focused meant we needed energy, and pizza became our team fuel. But the real highlight of the day was when I had the unforgettable chance to visit Ayn Khor during the magical Khareef season. The crystal clear waterfall, reflecting through mist and fog, was one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve ever witnessed. Adding to the adventure, I tasted camel milk for the first time which was a unique experience that reflects Salalah’s rich diversity of land and climate.
Thanks to our Omani friends, we ended the long day with delicious traditional food. It was a day of differences, discoveries, and memories I will never forget.
