Our day started in the early morning. It is the opening day of the conference. Everyone is interested and dresses smartly. Most of us did not have breakfast, to be ready at 7:20 a.m. and reach the bus station. Then, I walked with the group to the bus station and waited for the bus.
After that, we reached the place where the AIWW conference in RAI, and our beautiful day began. We took the card for the conference and all our way to the coffee place taking a cup of coffee with some desserts. At the start of the conference and the welcome ceremony we were interested, then the presentations started. We decided to also have a quick look to the Aquatech.
We are all waiting for the pitch rehearsal at 10:00 a.m. After receiving some feedback, my group decided to finish the paper to send the final draft and enjoy our time later. We noted later that there would be a lunch break, so we decided to have nice food before we left to have some fun. Before we left RAI, an amazing rainbow appeared. We really enjoyed the nature in the Netherlands.
Later, my friends and I went to the Amsterdam Centrum. It is really a very nice place with a lot of events, people, and shops. The first suggestion from Najwa was to have a canal trip. I want to thank her for this suggestion. It was so interesting and informative. What caught my interest during the tour was the house of my favorite artist, Rembrandt. Also, the narrow houses, hotels near the canals, and the new building for the booking.com company. After this wonderful tour, it is the right time to have some food. Of course, we go for the most famous fries in Amsterdam. We stood in the long cue, which went fast, and then we had my fries with my favorite sauce (cheese).
After that it is time to go back, it is almost 5:00 pm, and we are excited about the conference dinner which will start in an hour. When we reached RAI, we went together to the dinner place (Zuid-pool). We really liked the place and enjoyed the lovely blue drinks, which I did not try. Instead of that, I drink two glasses of delicious, iced tea! The food is different from what we have in Oman, but I am interested in trying Dutch food because I like to try the food of different nationalities. What I really like is the vegetarian soup and of course the very nice dessert with a scoop of ice cream. It is time to leave and go back to our hostel. It was really a long, wonderful day, so everyone slept deeply.
