United Arab Emirates 2021: from WorldExpo Shanghai to Dubai!

Wetskills Foundation and partners are delighted to announce a very unique event: United Arab Emirates (Dubai) 2021. Wetskills will go back to where it started in Shanghai 2010: The Netherlands Pavilion of the WorldExpo. On 1 November 2021 Wetskills and partners will organise a day full of workshops including the Finals & Awarding of Wetskills-United Arab Emirates 2021, the first Wetskills event in this country The Wetskills teams will present their ideas with a two minute pitch, Q&A and a poster on 1 November 2021 in The Netherlands Pavilion. The winning team will be awarded by the jury later.

Teams of students and young water professionals (with diverse backgrounds, nationalities and experiences) will work on real life water cases in an exciting two-week programme. Their main challenge: to think out-of-the-box and develop innovative, but realistic concepts. All participants will have access to the WorldExpo terrain to present the solutions, join the professional workshops on resilience and water and visit other pavilions as well.

"It has indeed been a fruitful, joyous and amazing time as the 26 participants spend two weeks enjoying each others company, learning, exploring and finding ways to work as a team together and solve six pressured, difficult cases. This has in fact been an experience to remember for each and everyone participant for 2019! (Wetskills Alumni)"

Are you a student or young professional from United Arab Emirates, the Gulf region, The Netherlands, Europe and other countries worldwide, and do you want to make a difference in the water & sustainability sector? Would you like to experience working in an international team and other cultures?  Do you want to work on challenging water-energy-food issues and get to present your ideas?
