Wetskills-Jordan 2026

Water & Migration: main theme for the next Wetskills in Jordan!
From 29 March to 10 April, Wetskills again comes to Amman, Jordan, bringing together young professionals and students from Jordan and abroad to tackle one of the region’s most pressing challenges: the nexus between water scarcity and migration. (visit the first Wetskills event in Jordan)
Jordan (and its neighboring countries) is among the world’s most water-stressed countries and has long been shaped by regional mobility and displacement. Rapid population growth, refugee inflows, urban expansion, and climate pressures place enormous strain on limited water resources, infrastructure, and governance systems. At the same time, water availability and quality increasingly influence migration patterns, livelihoods, and social stability.
During Wetskills-Jordan 2026, multidisciplinary teams will work intensively on real-life cases provided by local and international water sector partners (authorities, NGOs, utilities). The cases explore how innovative technical, social, and governance solutions can strengthen water resilience in contexts affected by migration.
Are you a Young Professional or student with a passion for water and sustainability? Always wanted to work in a diverse team on water challenges in Jordan? The Wetskills Foundation extends a warm invitation to Bachelor, Master, PhD students, recent graduates, and young professionals who are enthusiastic about water, climate, and sustainability to apply for the Wetskills Challenge taking place in Amman. Seize this unique opportunity, come on board and apply now (use the link on the right).
Through collaboration, creativity, and hands-on problem solving, Wetskills-Jordan 2026 aims to empower young talents to co-create practical solutions, foster cross-cultural learning, and contribute to a more resilient and inclusive water future for Jordan and the wider Arabic region.
