Sunday 4-June
By Asanda Dukuza and Thapelo Makhalanyane
Sunday, the 4 th of June, A no-work day for competition participants. Some used this opportunity to visit friends around Durban, while others stayed at the Lodge catching up and enjoying some laughs. We all relished in the opportunity to have a day off and make the most of it. We took the time to relax, catch up on some much-needed rest, and have some quality time with our friends. It was a wonderful day for us all, and a great way to start off the week.
It’s Sunday morning, a perfect time for a jog around Durban North. Clear sky and warm air make it ideal to walk around and admire the beauty of the beach. The emerald water is inviting and refreshing. The smell of salty sea air fills the surrounding, and the sound of waves crashing against the shore creates a peaceful atmosphere.
Some colleagues took a trip to Tala Game Reserve. This is a wildlife sanctuary spanning over 3000 hectares and incorporating many diverse natural environments, the reserve features over 380 bird species, and plenty of big game, including kudu, hippo, giraffe and wildebeest. Later everyone was back at the Hostel to prepare work for the following day.
