Wetskills Event in the city of Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, with the online finals on 22 September, with pitches by all teams presenting the out-of-the-box solutions for their cases.
This Wetskills Water Challenge was aligned to the AIWW 2021 - Amsterdam International Water Week. Teams of students and young professionals from various countries wee working on real life water cases in a two-week programme (24 October – 5 November 2021) with site visits, teambuilding and meetings with water experts. Some were joining online from home, due to corona. The main challenge: to think out-of-the-box and develop innovative, realistic concepts. The teams presented their ideas during the finals on 4 November in Amsterdam, as part of the AIWW - Future Water Leaders Programme.
An international team of students and young water professionals from Romania, The Netherlands and other countries joined us for this Wetskills-Romania 2022 water challenge. One of the main topics of this event was Water & Data Management. The Finals and Awarding Ceremony were at the IWA International Conference on Hydroinformatics (HIC 2022) in Bucharest. Attending this conference (6 July 2022) was included in the program.

Wetskills organized the 7th event in Romania, this challenging country with high mountains, the large Danube Delta, booming urban areas as well as remote rural villages. Water issues ask for innovative solutions, due to droughts, floods, and water quality issues. Follow us in this event!
