Join the 3rd Wetskills-Indonesia during the Water Missions from The Netherlands to Indonesia and present your water solutions for a water smart society!
Semarang, a coastal city in Indonesia, faces various water challenges that threaten its development and resilience. Issues such as land subsidence, frequent flooding, sea level rise, and inadequate wastewater management are becoming more severe due to rapid urbanization and climate change. These problems not only affect infrastructure and the environment, but also the quality of life for residents.
To address these pressing challenges, Wetskills is bringing together young talents from around the world to collaborate and co-create innovative solutions. During the Wetskills program, interdisciplinary teams of students and young professionals will work on real-life water cases provided by local and international partners. Through a unique, out-of-the-box approach and intense teamwork, participants will develop practical ideas and present their results to a jury of experts. By empowering the next generation, Wetskills aims to foster sustainable water solutions that support a more resilient future for Semarang and similar vulnerable regions.
