Jakarta, 16 June 2025 – In a significant step toward strengthening youth engagement and water cooperation in Indonesia, Wetskills Foundation and Universitas Sultan Agung (UNISSULA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) during the Dutch Trade Mission to Indonesia. The ceremony took place in Jakarta as part of the mission’s focus on sustainable water management and innovation. Dr. Abdul Rochim (Dean of Faculty of Engineering, UNISSULA) and  Johan Oost (Managing Director Wetskills Foundation) signed the agreement, witnessed by the leaders of the trade mission.

The MoA marks a formal continuation of the collaboration between Wetskills and UNISSULA, which hosted successful editions of the Wetskills Challenge in Semarang. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing young talent in the water sector through hands-on, real-life challenges that bridge academia, industry, and policy. The agreement includes joint efforts to organize future Wetskills events in Indonesia, create follow-up research under the WetsNext umbrella, and support knowledge exchange between students and professionals.
