I’m Laura Vona, a Water Technology graduate from Wageningen University & Research, with a background in chemistry and a drive to create practical, sustainable solutions for water management. My work has focused on optimizing irrigation systems, enhancing wastewater reuse, and promoting sustainable land use. I bring experience in stakeholder collaboration, integrating environmental and economic data, and using GIS to support water resource planning.
I’m especially committed to tackling climate change through water conservation and adaptation strategies, while also advocating for gender equality and inclusive approaches in water governance. I believe active citizenship and community-driven solutions are key to achieving long-term sustainability.
Beyond my professional interests, I enjoy hands-on, creative projects—sewing, goldsmithing, and working with clay allow me to explore material work and design. I also love learning languages, traveling, meeting new people—and clubbing whenever I get the chance.
