Today was the first day of the Wetskills program in Mumbai. This time the event was held online due to the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Although it would have been great for the program if everybody could see each other in real life, the online version did allow a number of international students to participate.
The day started with opening speeches from the Dutch Consul General, Mr. De Jong and Prof. Sekher from the TATA Institute of Social Sciences. Followed by two interesting thematic addresses from Mr. Uchgoankar (MCGM Chief Engineer) and Prof. Bhide from the TATA Institute of Social Sciences.
After the opening, hosted by Johan Oost, the group division was announced. In breakout rooms, we got the chance to get to know each other a little before we would focus on the matter at hand.
With the guidance of the team coach and the team expert, the first steps were taken to approach the case. In the end, it was an educative and promising day. We are excited to get started and find out what solutions we and the other teams can come up with!
