Wetskills-Zimbabwe 2026 – Blog 6 –
Day 6 activities focused on communication, creativity, and teamwork as we participated in both pitch and poster training sessions as well as the exciting Crazy 88 presentations.
We started the day with a training session on pitching and poster presentation skills. One of the key concepts introduced was the elevator pitch which is a short and persuasive explanation of an idea that can be delivered in a very limited amount of time. This was introduced in the form of a short engaging video. We learned how important it is to communicate ideas clearly, confidently, and concisely.
The session also highlighted important presentation techniques such as maintaining confidence, engaging the audience, structuring information effectively, and designing posters that are visually appealing and easy to understand. The teams also underwent an in-depth poster training, learning what really makes up a good poster.
Later in the day, teams presented the outcomes of their Crazy 88 challenges. Each group showcased their ideas, creativity in a very fun and engaging manner. This was an especially interesting part of the day. The presentations were energetic and interesting, with every team bringing unique perspectives and innovative concepts.
At the end of the presentations, one team was selected as the winner based on creativity and level of dedication to the crazy 88 challenge.
Overall, the day was highly interactive and valuable as we improved our communication and presentation skills while also learning from the creativity and innovation of other teams.
