Wetskills-Zimbabwe 2024 – Blog Day 8 –
Each day begins with a sense of purpose and determination, as participants dive into their tasks with unwavering focus. Today marks the 8th day of the Wetskills Water Challenge Programme. The location of the day s training was located at the National University of Science and Technology American Space in the CBD of Bulawayo. The day was scheduled for one-on-one update sessions with the trainers thus Dr Craig Tanyanyiwa and Mr Mthokozisi Moyo. Other activities included team work, coach sessions and expert consultations.
Each team presented their progress so far made from the previous day and for the whole case as a whole to the trainers. The teams had established their group names and those were presented to the trainers. Team work sessions were composed of literature study, discussions, deliberations amongst teams about the issues raised by trainers during the one on ones, paper writing, pitch and poster drafting. Some teams did their expert consultations for guidance on the methodologies that they aimed to undertake on the respective cases. As an aid in solving the cases, each team did expert consultation with respect to their cases.
In the midst of the day, the energy in the room was intense as everyone was working tirelessly towards their goals. The room was abuzz with the sound of keyboards clicking and lively discussions as ideas were shared and refined. Despite the mounting pressure of the nearing deadlines, there was a sense of camaraderie and support among the groups. Encouraging words and helpful suggestions were freely exchanged, creating a collaborative and positive atmosphere. As the hours passed by, progress was made steadily but surely, each small accomplishment bringing each group closer to ultimate goals. When the end of the day finally arrived, there was a collective sense of satisfaction in all that had been achieved during the day. Though weary from the days work, each team left with a renewed sense of determination, ready to face the challenges of the next day with the same vigour and Enthusiasm.
