Wetskills-Tunisia 2025 – Blog 10 –
Today was a busy day full of excitement and preparation for the GreenX Conference. Dinaw was practicing her presentation with Ghadeh at the university, while Najeeb and I were at the hotel putting the final touches on our own presentation. Suddenly, we received a message asking us to come to the university immediately. On my way, I almost got hit by a car, but thankfully, I made it safely.
When I arrived, I saw Ayman and Laura standing and finishing their practice. I entered quickly and found everyone focused on their presentations. Everyone was dressed in their best outfits because we had an important meeting with the Dutch Ambassador.
After the practice, we all headed to the Dutch Embassy, where we met the Ambassador. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. They served us drinks and food, and they offered me raw salmon – I pretended to eat it, but secretly I threw it away . After that, we all took pictures with the Ambassador. Then, Firas and I went to take photos with their new car, though unfortunately, Firas turned out to be a terrible photographer!
Once the official part of the evening ended, Mahmoud, Firas, and I continued our night at the marina, where we met Ayman, Laura, Abigail, Hanna, and John. We were all very tired, so much so that Firas fell asleep at the restaurant. Still, everyone else enjoyed the conversation and the fun, sharing laughter and stories – a perfect end to a day filled with preparation, excitement, and great company.
