Wetskills-South Korea 2024 – Blog 1 –
Today marked an exciting beginning to the Wetskills program in Seoul 2024! With a vibrant mix of participants – including three Koreans, two Chinese, four Dutch, and one German – we have all the ingredients needed to cook up some innovative, cross-cultural solutions for our challenges.
The day started with an engaging introduction where everyone got to know each other. Tomorrow, the groups will dive deeper into their projects with meetings alongside their case owners, setting the stage for more teamwork.
In the afternoon, the participants played a competitive, team building game, the Crazy 88! This was followed by a (second) warm welcome dinner hosted by Dr. Jeryang Park, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Hongik University. The conversations flowed as freely as the delicious Korean food, with dishes like tteokbokki, also known as Tokpokki. We even toyed with the idea of sampling the Jopok Tokpokki (translated “crazy hot”) – and which is known for its crazy spicyness – later this week!
As the day comes to a close, the teams get a good night rest for some more teamwork. Stay tuned for more updates !
