Day 4 – Oman 2023 – The history of the German University of Technology (GUtech) can be traced back to 2003, when visionary Omanis contemplated the establishment of a high quality university of technology in Oman in corporation with RWTH Aachen university in Germany. First we visited the history of science museum at the university, it is a piece of art in terms of architecture design.
Then the cylindrical ECO house project attracted our attention. Beautiful interior design with the use of brick materials that offers comfortable indoor conditions in Oman’s hot and humid climate and reaches an annual net zero energy balance. 3D printed house 190 m2 built very fast and low cost was the latest subject we visited.
