Wetskills-Mozambique – Blog day 7 –
Today we started the day with an essential training on how to make an effective pitch, known as the elevator pitch. We learnt the art of presenting our ideas concisely but impactful enough to spark interest from financiers and partners. It was incredible to see how a few well-chosen Words can make all the difference.
Following that, we had a training session on the posters that we will present on the final day of the program. These posters will showcase the solutions we’ve developed for the challenges we face. Learning how to visually communicate our solutions clearly and attractively is crucial for the success of our projects.
In the second part of the day, we had the unique opportunity to visit the Green Infrastructure Park in the city of Beira. It was inspiring to see how nature-based solutions are being used to mitigate and adapt to floods. This is a practical and tangible example of how sustainability can be integrated into urban planning.
At the end of the day, we gathered in our working groups and began applying all the knowledge we had absorbed. It was a moment to put ideas into practice and start shaping our case studies based on the valuable information we acquired throughout the day.
This seventh day was a powerful reminder of the purpose of Wetskills: to collaborate, learn, and transform challenges into opportunities.
