Wetskills South Korea 2019 –
by Eveline van Groesen (Water Authority Brabantse Delta) –
Last night was deadline night. So, when we arrived at our hostel in Daegu everbody quickly put their luggage in their rooms and opened their laptops. Some stressed, some busy, some relaxed. But by 21.00 o’clock
it was done: every team submitted their poster and paper. Time to celebrate! And that is what we did! We had a nice BBQ with all the girls and went for a few drinks afterwards with the guys. A few drinks, became some more drinks and even more drinks. We celebrated our deadline night well…
After a short night (3 hours) we gathered in the hostel for our first trip to the Exco for the Korean International Water Week (KIWW). Something went wrong with our passes, because everybody works/studies at a completely different organization. I, for example, am suddenly a student at Kyungpook National University instead of an employee of the Water Authority Brabantse Delta 😉 But our names are spelled right and we got in, so that’s most important.
