Today, 6th January 2017. I reached CEE at 9:30 early morning at that time students were taking their breakfast. Today we had a field study on our case regarding CETP at OEPL (Odhav Enviro Project Ltd.) located at east Ahmedabad city.
Two CEE professors name as Vipul and Nandan joined us for some guidance. We are 4 students on this case name as Heet, Vandip, Tim and Carolien. We left CEE at 10:00 am and be there (OEPL) at 11:00 am.
Then Mr. Dushyant Bharmbhat a plant in-charge welcomed us in their office, where they offered us some snacks and tea/coffee. After some time he gave us a catalogue of their plant. In which details like how plant works, efficiency, drawbacks, norms, diagram. Then after sometime Mr. Nirav Bhakhar, CETP director came. We had some talk regarding the plant and we asked questions which are associated with plant. They said that they have a problem with colour and foaming in aeration tank.
Then they lead us to one industry nearby. Where we met Mr. Pankaj Kumar, plant head environmentalist. He gave his plant details and also said us to make some alternate for chemicals to help CETP. Then we pursed to lunch some nearby these facilities. We enjoyed a lunch even Netherlands’s students enjoyed a lot I’m glad with that this people also like Indian food. This Netherlands’s people very good with each other and I really like their work personally, their interest to know information either it’s about case or Indians and they also shared their countries interesting stuffs to everyone.
After lunch we again at CETP centre to check their existing plant and suggest something. Mr. Dushyant helped us to understand their plant, illustrate working of each equipment and give quantitative data from their file. He showed us plant’s laboratory where they test their effluent. They have online data sharing with GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board) every 10 minute interval. This online method we liked so much.
So now at the end the thing is what is the solution of their problems? We guys provide them out of box solution which they like and they immediately said that they surely work on it and provide us their visiting card. At the end we can say that this plant people are so much helpful to us and very kind. Almost at 3:50 pm we left CETP and pursued to CEE. At 4:40 we reached CEE and we had talk with Bijoysir regarding our case.
