First stop, Lion Safari tour

Excitement yet anxious!, that would perhaps best define the feeling for most of the participants, especially the ones who are doing the tour for the first time. We are about to spend two hours in the wild LOL

The tour was an amazing experience with BigBoy (Tour Guard), very informed and full of humour. Participants looked happy and to be enjoying the experience, everyone was taking pictures (Tourist kinda vibes). Some of the animals that we saw were Zebras, Blesboks, Lions, Gnoes, Hyenas, Black tiger, to mention a few. Something interesting was the learnings that as much as Lions are said to be lazy animals, they are very family oriented.

A quick stop at the Hartbeespoort dam

Literally, it was in and out. We got to see the beauty of the Hartbeespoort dam. Important information was shared, we learnt that the dam has problems with water invading species like hyacinth – young people are encouraged to come up with solutions and partner with the Department of Water and Sanitation. The Dutch participants found the dam structure fascinating and impressive, they said that their country is mostly flat. Participants took photos and nice top views videos, as Zintle would say, “We live for content”- meaning we must capture all the beautiful moments and post on our social media platforms.

Lunch and a bit of adrenaline rush

The last stop was Saddle creek adventure. We grabbed lunch and everyone received their games tickets (3x per person), Enjoyment, right? Of course, all participants had fun. Games on the list were Quad biking, Go-karting, Horse riding, Archery, to mention a few. More than two hours of adventure and adrenaline rush… and of course a lot of pictures and videos for the Gram (Instagram). Everyone was surprised by how Odilia and Yasmin horse riding skills, they were galloping with those horses at the fields.

It was an amazing fun-filled day for team building and strengthening newly formed friendships. Getting to know each other before the real work begins.
