Wetskills Day 3: Sunday, our third day at Wetskills started a little later, as we recovered from an eventful and productive Saturday. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we headed to the University of Cape Town (UCT) for an insightful session on the Plan of Action and Business Model Canvas. The training focused on capacity-building within our teams, helping us refine our approaches to tackling the Wetskills cases.
After a solid and enriching training session, we switched gears and embraced a taste of home, cooking a hearty Durban-style chicken curry and rice for a late lunch. The kitchen buzzed with energy as we prepared and shared the meal, making the experience as much about bonding as it was about food.
The program also allowed some well-deserved social time, which we used to visit the breathtaking Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, we immersed ourselves in the lively atmosphere of concerts and music, soaking in the moment and unwinding after an intense few days.
With our minds refreshed, we returned to our teams for a late-night work session, fully committed to making progress and finding innovative solutions for our cases. Despite the long hours, the excitement and dedication in the room were undeniable.
Day 3 was a perfect balance of learning, collaboration, cultural exchange, and relaxation. An experience that truly embodies the spirit of Wetskills!
