The morning started off well-focused while everyone was working on their cases with their team. It became quite an epic day with good memories when we had to prepare to leave for Amsterdam. It all started when a few of us (me included) got stuck in the baggage basement while trying to look for a lift because our luggage was too heavy for the ladies (me included as a complaint) but we failed to find it, so… Lufuno frustrated as he was, who was stuck with had to pull all luggage up the stairs through an emergency exit door that we found leading to the outside of hostel a few metres from the main door. The receptionist was pretty confused when we walked in with our luggage because the last time, she saw us was in the baggage basement.
Secondly, it was the suitcase traffic congestion we created in the train on our way to Amsterdam which made us block the path between the seats, a few passengers were pretty pissed about the suitcase situation but “It is what it is!” Thirdly, one of our team members got left behind in the train because her card was refusing to play the part, but luckily, she found her way to the hostel in Amsterdam.
Fourly, charades my dear how you made us look like a circus at the café. We decided to go for drinks and play charades while at it, the noise that came from group? I would honestly be annoyed if I was sitting at a nearby table, which funny how the girls that were dining next to us relocated because of our noise but we sincerely apologise for that 😊.
Lastly, our ‘try new meals’ dinner, which made us end up at a Korean Restaurant, and we tried Ramen, but one of us was very unpleased by the taste of it, calling it ‘a bowl of salt water with spaghetti, worst meal I’ve ever had’ he kept on singing the whole night.
Fairly, everyone has their highlight memory of the day! We’re more of a Family than a Team Now!
