Community driven approach for sanitation

Community driven approach for sanitation

Worldwide 3,5 million children under the age of five die every year from diarrhea and acute respiratory infections. That’s more than AIDS, TB and malaria combined. In rural Mozambique only 9% of the population has access to improved sanitation facilities. Currently many projects are going on, but persisting problems are awareness, social behavior, sustainability and maintenance.
