PDAM Semarang is committed to expanding and improving its water supply infrastructure to ensure comprehensive city coverage\, aiming to transition residents from groundwater to more sustainable PDAM water options. This initiative is part of PDAM Tirta Moedal’s vision to deliver 4K aspects (Quality\, Quantity\, Continuity\, and Affordability) in areas with established networks. What are the main challenges for PDAM? and how can they effectively and innovatively manage this transition for the community? with the aim of reducing private groundwater use and thereby decrease land subsidence. \nCase 2: Opportunities for Water Footprint Compensation \nCase owner: FoxallMunro \n\nGlobal water resources are under pressure. Regulatory and restorative actions on the local or watershed level are needed to prevent further pressure. To respond to this need we intend to build upon the link between water consumption for production to water compensation activities. As a progression from the 2023 Cape Town pilot water compensation project to determine the feasibility of community capacity building in water management as a water footprint compensation activity\, and the subsequent publishing of the water footprint compensation framework at the NY UN Water Summit\, this case intends to be the next step in building up a portfolio of global water compensation projects for organisations to invest in\, once they have calculated\, addressed and reduced their footprints as much as possible. \n\nCase 3: Practising Eco Theology in Pesantren through Water and Waste Management \nCase owners: Percik & Universitas Sebelas Maret \nIslam contributes significantly to environmental conservation through its teachings and principles. Despite this\, many Islamic communities\, especially in Indonesia\, face challenges with waste generation and water usage. Each person wastes 0.68 kg of waste daily\, and Muslims require 1.5 liters of water for prayer preparation. This case seeks to delve into these challenges\, particularly in Islamic institutions like boarding schools\, and understand leaders’ perspectives on water availability. The objective is to address current environmental issues and to find solutions while considering practical aspects of eco-theology. \nPrevious Wetskills events\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”901\,51988\,53474\,53618\,53747″ column_number=”5″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Partners\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”54042″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”54040″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”56309″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”63207″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” css=”” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”63209″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” css=”” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”54043″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”63206″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” css=”” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52373″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”54106″ img_size=”220×220″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”63210″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” css=”” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52334″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”57038″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”54101″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””]
