SUMMARY:Wetskills-South Korea 2022
DESCRIPTION:About The Event\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]The third edition of Wetskills South-Korea!\nBecause of the success of a memorable first (Olympic) edition of a Wetskills Water Challenge in South-Korea in February 2018 (read here) and the great successor in August/September 2019 (read here)\, we were thrilled to organize the third edition of Wetskills South-Korea! \nThis edition had 16 participants (aged 21 – 32 years) from South Korea and The Netherlands\, as well as Mexico\, Senegal\, France and Indonesia. Again a very international\, cross-cultural and multidisciplinary group of participants! In 3 teams they combined their knowledge and experiences to find out-of-the-box solutions for challenging water cases\, which they presented with pitches and posters at the Finals and Awarding Ceremony. \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Video\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Practical Information\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Leaflet Announcement for Participants Wetskills-South Korea 2022 \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Programme Wetskills-South Korea 2022\n \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Terms & Conditions Wetskills-South Korea 2022 \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_button icon_pack=”font_awesome” fa_icon=”fa-facebook” icon_position=”right” target=”_self” font_weight=”” text=”Attend on Facebook” link=”https://www.facebook.com/events/513417733516364/” icon_color=”#ffffff”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Follow Wetskills\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-facebook” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.facebook.com/Wetskills-496271977097972″ anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_facebook”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-twitter” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”http://twitter.com/wetskills” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_twitter”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-instagram” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.instagram.com/wetskills/” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_instagram”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-twitter” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.linkedin.com/groups/2949484″ anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_linkedin”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-youtube-square” fe_icon=”social_youtube” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJmPNM9roCkR1uvgJMHqpvA” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px”] \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_blockquote text=”Let’s Share the Water Passion. In the Asia and the Pacific region\, women and girls are key stakeholders to manage and conserve water resources at the national/local/community levels. Considering the regional background and UNESCO’s Call for Action ‘Accelerating gender equality in the water domain’\, what would be your action plan to disseminate the water and gender equality agenda in the AP region\, including priority areas\, target countries\, target levels\, effective methods\, and specific tasks? \nCase 2: Fighting climate change on Korean islands\nCase owner: Water Authority Hollands Noorderkwartier (The Netherlands) \nThe Netherlands is facing several climate related challenges that have their impact on the coastal and island landscape\, with problems like flood risks\, and periods of drought causing an increased salinity in aquifers and fresh waters. All these challenges have technical\, spatial and participation aspects. One of the (public) regional water authorities in the country\, HHNK\, is  joining this Wetskills challenge as a case-owner because they are very keen to learn from the South Korean experiences\, in particular related to islands. What are the main challenges Korean colleagues are facing? The team of students is asked to dive into the South Korean governance for islands for both flood risk and salination\, and advice HHNK and potential Korean partners on further collaboration. \nCase 3: South Korea’s dependency on virtual water trade\nCase owner: Water Footprint Implementation (The Netherlands) \nAt the COP-26 in 2021\, the Glasgow Declaration on Fair Water Footprint has been introduced and signed by various governmental and non-governmental partners. South Korea imports a lot of agricultural products from other countries. The water that has been used to grow the crops at these production locations is embedded in the imported trade volume and is called ‘virtual water’. South Korea is one of the largest net virtual water import countries for agricultural products worldwide. How can South Korea increase its water- and food-security\, while ensuring a Fair Water Footprint of agricultural imports for national consumption? \nPitch & Poster \n[vc_single_image image=”59844″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=””]Pitch & Poster \n[vc_single_image image=”59845″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=””]Pitch & Poster  –  Winning Team!\n \n[vc_single_image image=”59846″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Pictures\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”59848\,59851\,59850″ img_size=”large” column_number=”3″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”59849\,59852\,59853″ img_size=”large” column_number=”3″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”59854\,59855″ img_size=”large” column_number=”2″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Video’s 2018 & 2019\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Partners\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”59362″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53274″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53765″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”55019″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”56307″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”59669″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”54106″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”57060″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”53764″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”57038″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”57060″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52334″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Join this Wetskills event!\n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]

SUMMARY:Wetskills-Romania 2021
DESCRIPTION:About The Event\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]For the fifth time to Romania!\nWetskills Foundation and partners organized the Wetskills Challenge for the fifth time in Bucharest\, Romania. This Wetskills edition in Romania was hosted by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest. Other main partners of this event were the Politehnica University of Bucharest and Technical University for Civil Engineering in Bucharest\, the Romanian Water Association\, Apele Romane and the Embassy of The Kingdom of The Netherlands. \nRomania has a very diverse landscape and water system\, with high mountains and the largest Delta of the European Union: Danube Delta. Romania faces challenges in water and wastewater\, in both large urban areas as well as remote rural villages\, and has a large water management experience of dealing with floods and droughts. And the country itself is inspiring and various: From the booming big Bucharest with its historic buildings and churches\, immens large People’s Parliament and the Old City with bars\, pubs as heart of the City to idillic smaller cities and villages in epic Transylvania and more low and dry Wallachia (border to Bulgaria) and the Europe’s largest bioreserve Danube Delta. \nThis edition of Wetskills started on 11 September 2021\, and was taking place in and around to the great city of Bucharest. During the 2-weeks program the participants worked in international\, multidisciplinary teams on real-life water cases. The finals and awarding were during an hybrid workshop with livestream on 22 September. \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Practical information\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Draft overall Programme Wetskills-Romania 2021 \nLeaflet Announcement for Participants Wetskills-Romania 2021 \nTerms & Conditions Wetskills-Romania 2021 \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_button icon_pack=”font_awesome” fa_icon=”fa-facebook” icon_position=”right” target=”_self” font_weight=”” text=”Attend on Facebook” link=”https://www.facebook.com/events/2007458975975366/” icon_color=”#ffffff”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Follow Wetskills\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-facebook” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.facebook.com/Wetskills-496271977097972″ anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_facebook”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-twitter” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”http://twitter.com/wetskills” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_twitter”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-instagram” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.instagram.com/wetskills/” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_instagram”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-twitter” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.linkedin.com/groups/2949484″ anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_linkedin”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-youtube-square” fe_icon=”social_youtube” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJmPNM9roCkR1uvgJMHqpvA” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px”] \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Joining this Wetskills Event – What do you get?\nA unique learning experience where you will tackle real-life water challenges with your own team!\n♦ You will increase your skills in: international cooperation; The ambition is to become the fourth most circular city of the Netherlands. To achieve this goal\, reducing waste streams is required\, and specially in neighborhoods with blocks of flats this is a challenge. Currently\, households have the option of separating plastic\, paper and residual waste. Residual waste is where the problem arises because it includes many streams that are bundled together as one\, including organic waste. Question of the city is: How can organic waste be separated from the residual waste stream? and what valuable use could be made of it in the city? \nPoster Team 1\n \n[vc_single_image image=”58777″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=””]Case 2: Flash floods inspiration guide\nCase owner: RBA Siret & Blue Deal programme Romania (by Dutch Water Authorities) \nRomania and The Netherlands\, cooperating under the BlueDeal programme\, are water-rich countries with a long-standing history of combatting floods and keep their feet dry. Due to climate change\, both countries are becoming more vulnerable for heavy rainfall. RBA Siret in the Northeastern part of Romania is facing severe flash flood challenges. Especially farmers and inhabitants of small villages suffer. The team is asked to create an ‘Inspiration guide’ to showcase innovative and economic attractive measures against flash floods. This should create more awareness and indicate concrete solutions for all stakeholders in a pilot area. Together with a simple “kitchen table” poster(s) for dialogue\, the Inspiration Guide should contribute to the innovative Integrated Water Resource Management Plan for the pilot area. \nPoster Team 2 \n[vc_single_image image=”58778″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=””]Case 3: Virtual Water flows between Romania and Hungary\nCase owner: Water Footprint Implementation \nIs it possible to use water in places where you are not present at that moment? Yes\, it is! When we consume a product that was produced in a different country or place\, we also virtually consume the water used to produce it. This is what we call ’embedded’ or ‘virtual’ water. When products are traded across the globe\, there is also a trade in virtual water taking place. The Water Footprint\, a method that determines the freshwater use in production processes\, is an excellent tool to provide insights in the virtual water flows between continents\, countries and/or river basins. How can we use the virtual water flow between Romania and Hungary for improving the sustainable freshwater management in both countries? \nPoster Team 3 \n[vc_single_image image=”58775″ img_size=”full” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=””]Event Partners\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”55394″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52431″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52434″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52433″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”57038″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”54957″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52334″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52243″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”57644″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53102″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”54106″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”57060″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Previous Wetskills Events in Romania\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]

Participants were students and young professionals from various nationalities and background\, but studying and working in Japan and The Netherlands. They worked in international teams on challenging water-energy-food issues. \nDuring the Finals on August 5\, they presented their ideas in an online event\, followed by the Awarding Ceremony. \n \nThe central theme ‘Water-Energy-Food Nexus’ is also the main focus of the WorldExpo Dubai 2021\, where Wetskills Foundation will be present as well. All cases will be aligned to this theme and also include topics outside the water domain. \nThe 2020-2021 central theme of Wetskills Events\, celebrating 10 years of Wetskills:\n‘VALUING FUTURE WATER LEADERS SHAKING THE WATER-ENERGY-FOOD COCKTAIL WITH THEIR INCLUSIVE & CATALYTIC CAPACITY’. \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Watch the Finals & Awarding\n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event info\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Programme W@tskills-Japan 2021\n \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_button icon_pack=”font_awesome” fa_icon=”fa-facebook” icon_position=”right” target=”_self” font_weight=”” text=”Attend on Facebook” link=”https://www.facebook.com/events/457471881845424/” icon_color=”#ffffff”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Watch the announcement of Wetskills-Japan 2021 \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Watch the Movie of the previous Olympic Wetskills edition: South Korea 2018 \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Follow Wetskills\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-facebook” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.facebook.com/Wetskills-496271977097972″ anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_facebook”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-twitter” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”http://twitter.com/wetskills” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_twitter”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-instagram” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.instagram.com/wetskills/” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_instagram”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-twitter” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.linkedin.com/groups/2949484″ anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px” fe_icon=”social_linkedin”]     [no_icons icon_pack=”font_elegant” fa_icon=”fa-youtube-square” fe_icon=”social_youtube” fa_size=”fa-lg” custom_size=”30″ type=”normal” rotated_shape=”no” icon_shadow=”no” inner_border=”no” back_to_top_icon=”” link=”https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJmPNM9roCkR1uvgJMHqpvA” anchor_icon=”” target=”_blank” icon_color=”#0076b2″ hover_icon_color=”#43dbbd” margin=”0px 12px 0px 0px”] \nWetskills congratulates our Ambassador Kiran Badloe\n[vc_single_image image=”58466″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””]Kiran Badloe\, windsurfing\, won the Olympic golden medal in Tokyo last week. The wind farm industry is constantly innovating and apart from new wind farms being built\, current wind farms are being replaced or reimagined. As wind energy is aiding us in our mission towards a sustainable future in Japan and the Netherlands\, solutions must be found that incorporate the wishes of all stakeholders involved in the space used at sea. These stakeholders include fishermen\, ecologists\, governments\, shipping companies\, wind farm developers and the general public\, to name a few. Because of the variety of stakeholders and their interests it is a challenge to divide this space\, and this is where multi-use and repurposing of wind farms plays an important role. How can we make sure that multiple stakeholders can mutually benefit from the same sea space in harmony? \nCase 2: Multi-layer flood safety: impact on land & water planning\nCase owner: Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (The Netherlands) \nBoth Japan and The Netherlands have been qualified as high-risk countries that have to deal with climate change effects (World Risk Report 2016\, WEF). Due to climate change extreme weather events and storm surges will occur more frequent. For a flood prone country as the Netherlands with a long tradition on water management\, risks of disrupting water crises caused by climate change are increasing. Working with the so-called multi-layer approach is becoming the major policy to prepare the country for the increased probability of flood events and its impact on society. How can both Japan and The Netherlands benefit of the multi-layer safety approach to develop adaptive strategies for maintaining their high level of society under increasing threats of flood events? \nCase 3: A new use of rainwater assets in a strategy for climate adaptation\nCase owners: Waternet Amsterdam Utility (The Netherlands)\n \nClimate change is becoming more and more visible in the city of Amsterdam. The past years there were multiple incidents of severe rainfall\, but also an increase in heat waves and extreme droughts. Climate adaptation is essential to provide the citizens of Amsterdam with a physically\, socially\, and economically healthy living environment in the future. How can the existing infrastructure and assets of Amsterdam be best used in a future proof strategy? How can Waternet use them more effective or even integrate them with a multi-purpose use? Let’s create a plan to make the best out of rainwater as source for climate adaptation! \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Pitch & Poster \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”58488″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””]Pitch & Poster \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”58489″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””]Pitch & Poster \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”58490″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”58465\,58464\,57050\,57051″ column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”]Event Partners\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”58340″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”58341″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”57038″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”56310″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”57037″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”55387″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”57039″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52334″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”53101″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53285″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”58405″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52245″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]

Mekong delta has salty groundwater due to saline water intrusion\, while rainwater is only available in the rainy season. KIST researchers try to find solutions for this water supply problem. How can water be provided to citizens in Mekong delta? \nFinal Poster \n\nTeam 1: Innovation on Rainwater harvesting techniques\n\n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”56246″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””]Case 2: Culture: Catalyst of water transitions\nCase owner: Province of Fryslan \nIn the coming decades\, we face major water challenges in the urban environment (both quality and quantity management). In the City of Leeuwarden in The Netherlands\, important steps have been taken with regard to water quality over the past 20 years. Climate adaptation is a major new challenge. Interventions will be necessary\, and are going to affect people’s lifes in the city. Important is the support and acceptance of the citizens. How can ‘culture’ increase the acceptance of citizens\, so they increasingly support the necessary climate change interventions? After all\, Result = Quality x Acceptance. \nFinal Poster – Winning team!\n \n\nTeam 2: Creating cultural solutions to raise water awareness\n\n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”56248″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””]Case 3: Coastal villages adaptive to sea level rise\nCase owner: Water Authority Noorderkwartier \nOne of the tasks of Water Authority HHNK is to manage and maintain the primary flood defense systems. Along their coastline\, where part of the dunes are the primary flood defense system\, erosion is taking place. To stabilize erosion\, the Dutch national government has set up a nourishment scheme to keep up with sea level rise. When sea level rising persists\, this scheme might not be enough for the protection of the villages situated in the dunes. The Wetskills team is challenged to come up with different/new adaptation options for an imaginary village along the HHNK coastline. \nFinal Poster \n\nTeam 3: Solutions for gradual and safe adaptation to sea level rise\n\n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”56249″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Case 4: Sustainable Future: Water & Energy\nCase owner: Waternet Water Authority Amsterdam \nFor 2040\, Amsterdam wants all energy used in the city to come from renewable resources. If the city wants to have a 100% sustainable energy supply\, they have to find new sustainable energy sources in the near future. Waternet\, the city’s Water Authority\, is looking for ways in which water can contribute to this energy transition. During the previous Wetskills-South Korea edition in 2018\, the assigned (winning) team came up with the ‘Water Wide Web’: an energy network that can store energy on different levels close to households. The challenge for the new team now is to come up with a practical implementation strategy for this ‘web’. \nFinal Poster \n\nTeam 4: Water conservation and renewable energy\n\n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”56244″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””]Case 5: South Korea’s virtual water trade\nCase owner: Water Footprint Implementation \nSouth Korea is one of the largest net ‘virtual water import’ countries for agricultural products. At the same time\, more than 50% of South Korea’s exports are electronics\, machinery and other type of equipment. Other notable exports are refined petroleum and minerals. All with a large ‘domestic Water Footprint’. How is ‘virtual water trade’ affecting the sustainability and security of water resources in South Korea? And what is the relationship in virtual water trade with a trade partner like Mexico? \nFinal Poster \n\nTeam 5: Balancing the virtual water\n\n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”56251″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””]More Event Pictures on South Korea 2018 & 2019\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”56055\,56056\,56057\,56058″ img_size=”large” column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”56059\,56060\,56061\,56062″ img_size=”large” column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”55942\,55943\,55944\,55945″ img_size=”large” column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”55949\,55948\,55947\,55946″ img_size=”large” column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”53727\,53669\,53670\,53708″ img_size=”large” column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”53800\,53798\,53801\,53799″ img_size=”large” column_number=”4″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”]The programme of 2018\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]The Finals & Awarding in 2018\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Partners\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”53765″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53274″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”56307″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”55013″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”52334″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53275″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”55019″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”55020″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”55012″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53766″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53767″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53101″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”52373″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”54106″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53546″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53764″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””]

SUMMARY:Wetskills-South Korea 2018
DESCRIPTION:About The Event\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]‘Olympic’ Wetskills goes for first time to South Korea! \nRead about the unique finals in the Holland Heineken House\, Gangneung during the PyeongChang olympic Winter Games in presence of The Netherlands prime minister Mark Rutte here. \nThe Wetskills Foundation with partners Hongik University\, Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands and Korea Water Forum organized a special edition of Wetskills: the Olympic edition in South Korea (period: 28 January – 12 February 2018). Bachelor\, Master\, PhD students and recent graduates worked together in mixed team on water challenges provided by organizations of the Korean and Dutch water sector. This edition of Wetskills took the participants to the nice city of Seoul and the Olympic city of Gangneung for two-and-a-half weeks\, visiting interesting and relevant water-related locations in and around Seoul and having the finals and awarding in the framework of the Olympic Winter Games. \nRead more about this spectacular and unique ‘Olympic’ Wetskills Water Challenge via our Social Media or the daily blogs (below) and publications! \n\nInformation about Wetskills programme\, our event in Korea and the results & follow-up\nFor more information\, contact Johan Oost (johan.oost@wetskills.com) and Floor van der Heijden (floor.van.der.heijden@wetskills.com) or especially for South Korean information: Jeryang Park (Hongik University\, jeryang.park@wetskills.com). \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_blockquote text=”‘Share the Passion. They now strive for eco-friendly water management\, with sustainable and ecological river management instead of large dam constructions. K-water is increasingly focusing on finding more effective and desirable ways to use and manage the Korean rivers with the balance of traditional and cutting-edge methods. Which is also what the assigned team is asked to investigate. \nCase 2: Sustainable future: Water & Energy\nCase owners: Waternet Amsterdam and Seoul Water Works Agency \nFor 2040\, Amsterdam strives for all energy used in the city to come from renewable resources. Seoul has a similar urgent need for sustainable energy. If these cities want to have a 100% sustainable energy supply\, they have to look for other sustainable energy sources in the near future. The question is: how can water contribute to this transition? Both Waternet Amsterdam and Seoul Waterworks Authority want to contribute to achieve the goal of 100% renewable energy for both their capital cities\, the Wetskills team is challenged with the question how. \nCase 3: Creating a circular economy for decentralized wastewater systems in cities\nCase owner: Water Authority Delfland \nCities all over the world are dealing with comparable issues such as: staggering urbanization rates\, industrial pollution and climate-change. In many cases the current urban water systems show to be insufficient in dealing with these issues. It is therefore essential to start learning from each other’s experiences to create a blueprint for a worldwide sustainable urban future. The question remains: how can a decentralized wastewater system be redesigned such that it embraces the concept of Circular Economy and motivates a broad range of stakeholders to commit and engage along the process \nFinal poster and pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53774″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster and pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53775″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster and pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53776″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space height=”64px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Case 4: Turning Saline Aquifer into a Freshwater and Energy Storage System\nCase owner: Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) \nWater quality degradation in river basins and climate change are becoming a major threat to the surface water in South Korea. There is a need to shift the water resources portfolio from surface water to a groundwater-surface water integrated management system. The assigned team is asked to come up with an innovative system design\, combined with economic analysis and enhanced stakeholder engagement. \nCase 5: Islands of Innovation\nCase owner: Province of Fryslân (in cooperation with Daegu) \nThe Province of Fryslân (a province in the north of The Netherlands) and its regional partners in water innovation\, aim at the development of smart water systems for consumers. They want to stimulate and accelerate consumer oriented water use innovations. The team is asked to design a game competition for this\, focusing specifically on islands\, and along with this to develop a unique novel product\, service\, business or a combination. \nFinal poster and pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53777″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster and pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53778″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Do you also want to submit a challenge and get an out-of-the-box concept (Pitch and Poster) in one of our Wetskills event worldwide? SUMMARY:Wetskills-The Netherlands 2017
DESCRIPTION:About The Event\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Wetskills for the fourth time to The Netherlands! \n  \nA fish passage in a polder that only opens at a certain level of rainfall: This new fish migration system won the Wetskills challenge on 2 November. The winning team received their award from Nomvula Mokonyane\, the South African Minister for Water and Sanitation during the closing session of the Amsterdam International Water Week Conference. \nIt was the fourth time the challenge for young water professionals took place in the Netherlands and was again hosted at the Amsterdam Internati \nonal Water Week. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMixed teams\nFor two weeks\, 23 participants from around the world worked in mixed teams on cases of governments\, companies\, knowledge institutes and water aut \nhorities from home and abroad. Their goal: finding innovative solutions for current water-related challenges. \nThe participating students and young professionals came from all over the world\, such as Oman\, Egypt\, India\, Kyrgyzstan\, Honduras\, Israel\, South Africa\, and Indonesia. \nThey were guided by water professionals from the Netherlands. \n\n  \nMore information\nFor more information contact Floor van der Heijden (floor.van.der.heijden@wetskills.com)\, Frank Tibben (frank.tibben@wetskills.com) or Johan Oost (johan.oost@wetskills.com). \nPractical Information\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_button icon_pack=”font_awesome” fa_icon=”fa-facebook” icon_position=”right” target=”_self” font_weight=”” text=”Attend on Facebook” link=”https://www.facebook.com/events/1887814874789933/” icon_color=”#ffffff”][vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Programme: Flyer Preliminary Program Wetskills-The Netherlands 2017 \nStudy cases: Overview of study cases Wetskills-The Netherlands 2017 \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Facts: \nParticipants: 20 \nCountries: 10 (South Africa\, Honduras\, The Netherlands\, Romania\, Kyrgyzstan\, Israel\, Egypt\, India\, Oman\, Indonesia) \nCases: 6 \nLocations: Amsterdam\, Heerhugowaard\, Enclosure Dam\, Leeuwarden\, Zwolle\, Kampen\, Schokland (Flevoland)\, Nieuwegein\, Rotterdam \nEvent: Amsterdam International Water Week \n[vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Cases\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Case 1: Stimulating a sustainable positive ‘green’ behavior for stakeholders\nCase owner: Water Authority Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNK) \nFor almost 50 years HHNK has been working on improving the water quality in the Northern part of the province North-Holland. At first surface water was black\, then became green and is now becoming even clearer. However there is still room for improvement. A large part of this improvement is the mentality of North-Hollands citizens\, farmers and industries. For that reason HHNK is looking for a tool by which we can stimulate or facilitate positive sustainable ‘green’ behaviour. \nCase 2: Will you unleash the energetic potential of small streams?\nCase owner: VP Delta \nThe flat Netherlands is a small delta country\, shaped by lowland rivers flowing into the sea. This country\, full of innovation power in water management\, has several companies developing hydropower stations requiring minimal hydraulic head\, ideally for the Dutch context. Globally\, hydropower stations have almost exclusively been placed in large dams or rivers with high discharges. Can you come up with international business strategies for these small hydropower stations and help these stations create a large impact in the world? \nCase 3: Saving the city lake from Ahmedabad for polluted water (India)\nCase owner: Center for Environment Education Ahmedabad and Chasing Water Dreams Challenge \nThe City of Ahmedabad is the third fastest growing cities in the world with almost 400\,000 new inhabitants each year. Good water quality is inevitable to provide its citizens good drinking water and safe environments. Mean threats for the water system are the seawater intrusion\, depletion of ground water\, industrial effluents and sewage wastewater. Especially the effluents pollute the river causing health hazards to the people residing near the outlets and destroying the ecosystem. During monsoon the 26 city lakes are filled with floodwater mixed with polluted river water. Solutions are requested for safeguarding the city lakes from contamination of wastewater and to know how they socio-politically can be conserved. \nNote: This case is the winner of the Chasing Water Dreams: the Challenge \n[vc_empty_space height=”16px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster & pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53839″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster & pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53840″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster & pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53841″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Case 4: Increasing fish migration to comply to EU directives\nCase owner: Waternet (for water authority Amstel\, Gooi en Vecht) \nTo achieve the goals for the EU Water framework and EU Eel directive\, measures have to be taken to improve the possibilities for fish migration. In Dutch poldersystems the watersystem is very fragmented. Many dams and weirs form barriers for fish. Waternet challenges their team of young water professionals to design a new or improved way to create fish passages at weirs in polder systems. Existing techniques are not used often\, because of unwanted effects on waterlevel\, waterquality and relatively high costs. \nCase 5: Taking climate adaptation measures: A public or private matter?\nCase owner: Water authority Drents Overijsselse Delta (WDOD) \nClimate change leads to heat stress caused by higher temperatures and flooding because of extreme showers beyond the capacity of the drainage infrastructure. Climate adaptation measures are necessary to deal with these effects of climate change. However\, both the government and the private landowners could take adaptation measures. WDOD would like an advice to support decision making on when to take stimulate climate adaptation measures in the public and when in private areas. \nCase 6: Decentralized water solutions for neighborhood participation\nCase owner: Province of Flevoland \nThe (future) inhabitants in Almere Oosterwold (4300 hectares\, 15.000 households) are in charge of to create their own livelihood without support of the municipality\, including wastewater services. Most inhabitants install a decentralized wastewater treatment system. This might cause pollution of the surface water. Current monitoring is expensive\, so only 5 locations are yearly tested 12 times. The new ‘Living lab Oosterwold’ programme aims on real-life testing of innovative sanitation systems in coming years. How can we better and simpler monitor the water quality and invite the inhabitants to monitor their sanitation system? \nFinal poster & pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53842″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster & pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53843″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Final poster & pitch \n[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”53844″][vc_empty_space height=”8px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]The Wetskills organization is always looking for Case Owners\, companies/organisations that formulate their case and support the Wetskills programmes worldwide. For more information: contact Johan Oost (johan.oost@wetskills.com). \nPrevious events in The Netherlands\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”2327\,2371\,2367″ column_number=”5″ grayscale=”no” hover_icon=”none” images_space=”gallery_with_space”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”]Event Partners\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”53104″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52334″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53105″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52247″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”53101″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53102″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52318″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52154″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”53285″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52168″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53336″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”53337″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”52257″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52146″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52245″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””][vc_single_image image=”52243″ img_size=”220×125″ style=”vc_box_rounded” qode_css_animation=””]Event Blogs\n[vc_single_image image=”50762″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space image_repeat=”no-repeat”][no_blog_list type=”boxes” image_size=”landscape” show_thumbnail=”yes” number_of_columns=”3″ overlay_icon=”1″ order_by=”date” order=”DESC” title_tag=”h5″ display_excerpt=”1″ info_position=”top” post_info_text_transform=”none” post_info_font_weight=”700″ post_info_font_style=”normal” display_category=”0″ display_date=”1″ date_place=”over_title” display_author=”0″ display_comments=”0″ display_button=”1″ icon_pack=”font_elegant” fe_icon=”arrow_right” button_icon_position=”right” vertical_align_text=”middle” date_position=”in_icon” border_around_item=”no” separator=”yes” display_circle_button=”1″ enable_circle_button_shaddow=”1″ number_of_posts=”3″ overlay_color=”rgba(0\,221\,207\,0.59)” text_length=”133″ post_info_color=”#43dbbd” post_info_font_family=”Montserrat” post_info_letter_spacing=”-0.5″ date_size=”21″ button_text=”READ MORE” box_info_padding=”40px 5px 5px 5px” post_info_font_size=”20″ title_size=”28″ title_color=”#0076b2″ button_color=”#ffffff” button_hover_color=”#ffffff” button_background_color=”#43dbbd” button_hover_background_color=”#0076b2″ button_border_color=”#43dbbd” button_hover_border_color=”#0076b2″ category=”wetskills-the-netherlands”]
