Wetskills in China, Romania and Bangladesh – June and July 2019 – Registration is now open

The teams of Wetskills-Oman are finalizing their pitches for the final presentations. They worked for two weeks in international teams on out-of-the-box solutions for various water cases, discussing with water experts, exchanging views, joining knowledge from different backgrounds. What solutions did they find? Who will win the Oman 2019 Challenge? The Awarding Ceremony will be on March 25, during the World Water Day Celebrations in Muscat, Oman. Interested to join one of the Wetskills Challenges? Preparations have already started for Wetskills Events in China (2-14 June), Romania (3-14 June) and Bangladesh (30 June – 12 July). We are looking for local and international students and young professionals, who are passionate about water, and excited to work in international teams to find transdisciplinary water solutions. Wetskills-Oman 2019 on Water-Energy-Food Nexus

Wetskills Oman 2019 kicks off - From 15 to 25 March 2019 the Wetskills Water Challenge will take place in Oman for the second time in this country. During two weeks 25 students and young water professionals from Oman, Gulf Region and The Netherlands will work in international teams on challenging water cases. Their goal: finding innovative solutions for current water challenges. The Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) in Muscat is hosting the event.   This Wetskills event will be dedicated to the ‘Water-Energy-Food Nexus’. This is also the central theme of the WorldExpo Dubai 2020, where Wetskills Foundation is aiming to organize a Wetskills Water Challenge as well. Movie released about Water-Identity

Chrysoula Papacharalampou (Young Professional Ambassador of AIWW in 2017-2019) announced the Water-Identity as one of the initiatives in the next Future Water Leaders programme of the Amsterdam International Water Week 2019. As one of the speakers of the AIWW Summit 2018 (in Rotterdam on 15 November 2018) she inspired the audience with this initiative. Registration open for Romania in June 2019

Time for a new Wetskills event in Romania, the fourth one! The Wetskills Foundation and its partners invites Bachelor (final stage), Master, PhD students and recent graduates to apply for the Wetskills Water Challenge programme in Bucharest – Romania. We are looking for students and Young Professionals from universities and organisations from Europe and abroad with a passion for water. This event is aligned to the Official Opening of the Flood Proof Romania Polder (in Facau, 40 minutes southwest of Bucharest), a look-a-like testing facility as the Flood Proof Holland in Delft (read more). The event’s theme is about ‘testing and implementing smart water management innovations‘. The final presentations will be organized at the Brigaid Conference (13 June 2019) and the winning team will be announced during the Opening of the Flood Proof Romania Polder (14 June).
