Work in progress

June, 07, 2019, Wetskills Romania 2019 by Virginia-Mălina Voicu The day started at Faculty of Hydrotehnics, UTCB. Last days we were all busy with brainstorming about solutions and ideas. Now every group has come up with a solution for the given case studies. It was the day for the training pitch and poster. We learned what makes a good poster and what should not be on a poster and many other things related to it. Training pitch gives us a clear idea of how to do it in correct way. The rest of the afternoon we worked on our plan of action, which surprisingly turned out amazing. Wetskills was a creator of a new family, made of people from all around the world.😊...

BrainHurricane

Hi! This is my blog for 6june by Eddy Secu. "The BrainHurricane Day was a productive day where we linked the first ideas about projects. It all started in the morning at Politehnica University in Bucharest where we received the warmth of specialists in the field. We received real help advice in our projects from both Romanian specialists and foreign specialists with whom we communicated online. It was a friendly atmosphere and the end of the day caught us developing the first ideas of our projects. It's an experience I would repeat because it was a good step in my personal development."...

Meeting a case owner on site

June 5th, 2019 Wetskills Romania 2019 by Maria Nava Ocampo The day started by getting all ready to have a great typical Romanian breakfast, later on we had a really informative talk with the Major or Nehoiu who provide us information about the situation with the plastics in the river. In addition, he explained how complicated It is to deal with the problems due to the regulations for plastic recovery and the lack of young population since the older population are not taking actions to deal with the problem. The talk did not discourage the team responsible for that case but motivate them to try to find a solution. After the meeting with the major, we head back to Bucharest with beautiful landscapes in the road. Later that night we decided to get together to have some drinks and getting to know each other in a different scenario. ...

Wettest Wetskills ever?

4th June 2019 by Vlad Pestritu The day started by having breakfast at New Old Village Pub(BIRT). After that, we went at Prim Pass Cabin to suit up for Rafting with they guys from Green Adventure (http://www.greenadventure.ro/). With suiting up being complete, we went at Green Camp base, change in rafting clothes, and went to the drop off on river Basca Mare and got the training in order to start rafting. But right before launching our boats in water a heavy rain started with occasional hail. After the rain stopped, we started rafting. It was an amazing experience, but unfortunately we cut short the rafting due high level of water which made level 3 drop to be a level 5 drop and also tree trunks were passing us by. After that we got in the bus and wait in queue because the road was blocked by the water that was coming from...

Off we go…..

3 June by Sandra Malagon and Alexandra Turturica After a well-deserved rest from the trip we started our day by visiting the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in Bucharest. This is a very nice open-air museum which presents the traditional Rumanina village life. Later on we met the rest of the Rumanian colleagues who joined for the bus trip to Nehoui. We embarked on the bus, and one by one felt asleep lulled by the sound of the rain. When we arrived at Nehoiu we stopped at a store to get the necessary supply for a nice evening together. Because the bus could not go to the green camp, we were picked up by 4x4 cars. After we arrived to the camp, we chose our rooms and left the luggage and went afterwards to another great location where we ate what was called "Varza calita cu ciolan si mamaliga”, of course...

No sleep till Bucharest……

June 2nd, 2019 Wetskills Romania 2019 by Peter Overvest I was hoping this day to get a lot of sleep, I was expecting that idea would be disturbed by some travelling and happy Romanians. So, the alarm ringing at 5.15, the airplane going at 9.15. No, planning to go at 9.15, but because of destination (or because of some other thing) it was departing some later. Anyway, Sandra & I arrived around 13.00 in Otopeni. After our first Bucuresti traffic experience with for instance overtaking a police car on the right, we entered to dorms of UTCB. After being installed, we went to sleep for the rest of the day, because we were very tired and we wanted to be rested next morning when the program would begin. Of course we did not, because Wetskills is about making fun. So we went to a bar and to a bar and to a...
