Study cases for Iran

Wetskills-Iran 2016: We are looking for companies and organizations to bring in their Water Challenges!   In October 2016 a Wetskills Water Challenge will be hosted in Tehran, Iran for the first time. Hosted by Sharif University, the event is being organized in cooperation with the non-profit Wetskills Foundation (based in The Netherlands) and partners in the Dutch Water Sector. This Wetskills edition will present the results of the teams during the trade mission of Minister of Infrastructure & Environment of The Netherlands, Mrs. Schultz van Haegen, to Iran.   Does your company, organization or institute in the water sector have a challenging water case? MoU for more water exchange Taiwan-The Netherlands

More water exchange between The Netherlands and Taiwan   Last July Wetskills was organized in Taiwan for the first time. At the end of the event, Wetskills Foundation (The Hague) and Dutch Design Post (Tainan) signed a MoU for more cooperation in 'water' for students and Young Professionals. The partners see opportunities for assignments (for internships) in Taiwan. Taiwan has many interesting water challenges: a densely populated island with high mountains and extreme rain.   As result of the Wetskills programme the teams came up with some interesting concepts, which can have follow up (as part of WetsNext), like opportunities for floating gardens and buildings. These are themes that have been researched by the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan, but Dutch water related universities as well. Former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis opens Wetskills in Boston  Boston, Massachusetts, USA – Young Water Professionals from Netherlands and United States meet in Boston! After a successful team-building event, the Wetskills Water Challenge Boston officially kicked off on Monday, June 13, with the BrainHurricane event. Professor Joan Fitzgerald of Northeastern University and former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis opened the BrainHurricane with an inspiring talk about the need to cooperate internationally on water-related problems. New Wetskills-India in preparation

Water Challenges in Gujarat, India. (Machtelijn Brummel, RVO - Duurzaam Door & Wetskills) At the end of 2015 the first Indian Wetskills challenge took place. The Center for Environmental Education India (CEEIndia) hosted this first edition from November 30, 2015 to December 11, 2015. 25 students and young professionals from India and the Netherlands came together to work on five local cases in the field of waste-watertechnology, rural watermanagement and urban water solutions in the community. The participants, but also the wetskills supervisors experienced 2 weeks of a lot of new and exciting impressions, special foods, local trafic-habits and beautiful cultural (water)heritage.
